A Prehistoric Rain Forest

Amber (fossil tree sap) from this ancient forest provides a window into life 20-30 million years ago in this lush Oligocene-Miocene epoch rain forest that thrived in what is now the Dominican Republic. This once-sticky sap trapped anything and everything that happened to come into contact with from dew drops to plants to insects, just to name a few categories.
